Day one of this workshop offers an overview of the history and present state of historic preservation in America. Taught by preservation professionals, you will learn about:
• The history of historic preservation in America • Compliance with federal, state and local laws • Northwest Architectural Styles • Washington Heritage Barn Register • Historic Preservation Standards • Preservation and downtown revitalization • Creative mitigation strategies for adverse effects

Historic Preservation Technologies in Action
This workshop will teach you about:
• Masonry and Mortar Technologies • Interior Finishes • Care and Treatment of Wood Windows Rounding out the day will be a walking tour of Ritzville’s National Historic District with a discussion of character defining features.

$100 per day or $150 for both days. !0% discount for Veterans and historic preservation commission members.
