CITY OF TACOMA ANNOUNCES SUSTAINABLE TACOMA GRANTS

October 29, 2010 is the deadline for non-profits and educational organizations to apply for up to $5,000 in funding for projects that advance the City’s sustainability strategies. These strategies include smart land use/livable neighborhoods, transportation/fuel reduction, energy use reducation, waste reduction/recycling. Secondary goals address the local economy, equity/diversity, and culture. For more information about the grant program and the application form, go to their website. Looks like a great opportunity to fund a project demonstrating the link between historic preservation and sustainability.
